Heavy snow throughout the Four Valleys means there's nothing to fret about . 08.02.07

Thursday 8th February. It snowed a little in Nendaz earlier this week, but today it's snowing 'properly', with large flakes of the white stuff obliteraing one's view from one side of the street to the other. It is also forecast to continue for the next few days.

This is great news for everyone. Throughout the Four Valleys, resort officials are clearing snow off the roads today and breathing an audible sigh of relief. With so many holidaymakers choosing to wait until the last minute before booking a holiday, due to poor snowfalls over recent weeks, many local services - notably the ski schools and ski hire firms - have been feeling the pinch.

The skiing in Nendaz has, in actual fact, remained good throughout the season so far, due to its central location in the Four Valleys and the consequent ease with which you can find whatever conditions you're after.

Despite this, the heavy dump of snow this week means one thing: wherever you choose to go in the Four Valleys there's unlikely to be much of a problem with skiing or boarding conditions from now until the end of the season.

And with the busy half term weeks fast approaching, this is fantastic news for the various tourist boards, ski schools and equipment hire businesses in the region!
