The Village
Nendaz is surprisingly large, with a full complement of restaurants, bars and shops, around 4000 chalets and a large number of apartment buildings.

Restaurants
Too many to talk about (over 35), but we can highly recommend the sun terrace and restaurant at the top of the Tracouet lift, and the Cabane de Balavaux under the Prarion chair lift.

In and around the village, Le Vieux Chalet (on the Western outskirts of the village) is worth a visit on the chalet staff's night off, as would be Le Vieux Nendaz (a.k.a. "chez Edith") which is on the road round to Siviez. Of note more centrally are the excellent Restaurant Mont Rouge, La Cabane and the Trattoria de Savi (a genuinely Italian restaurant).
