One of Nendaz's best known restaurants, the Hameau Les Cleves, is soon to be accessible by road during the winter.
Over the summer, engineers have been building a tunnel beneath the piste under the Tracouet télécabine, enabling people to access numerous luxury chalets and the beautiful restaurant during the winter, without having to resort to a ski-mobiles or shanks' pony.
It's obviously great news for a number of Les Cleves chalet owners, but it will also be welcomed by Ted Bentley guests, who have previously been unable to sample the food of the Hameau restaurant on their Wednesday nights (when their chalet staff have the night off!).
Photos of the tunnel are unavailable at present
